Nowadays the internet is filled with blogs, vlogs, stories of what not to miss and "13 reasons why you should visit..." lists. It's not that these pages don't help us, I enjoy reading them and use them whenever I decide to plan a new trip. It's the overload, the clutter of information and the difficulty of finding destinations that suit your personal preferences. Most pages show hundreds of ads and do not provide you with what you are actually looking for anymore: information.

Some, like me, like turning over stones and working their way through the pile of options in travel planning. Most, however, do not. Everything looks like fun and everyone wants to go to the same places. What is really "off the beaten track" anymore? Are there any alternatives to the over-touristy places?
